We totally understand that you’d like to test 7-Cal’s abilities 😊. Since we’re a small team, we aren’t able to provide custom answers for every question. You may wanna check our Youtube channel or join our Discord to view the demo.
Here’s what you may want to know:
7-Cal doesn’t create answers itself. It connects directly to official AI models, the same ones you can try on their websites. If your question works there, it will also work on 7-Cal! No matter what the subject - mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering, electronics
What makes 7-Cal special is its built-in camera, enhanced with algorithms to capture your questions clearly and send them to the AI.
In most cases, 7-Cal can capture questions clearly. Only under poor conditions, like very low light or awkward angles, the photo quality might drop, which could affect the AI’s answer.
How it works:
📸 Snap a photo with 7-Cal
→ 📤7-Cal send it to AI
→ 🤖 AI generates a step-by-step answer
→ 📟 Displayed right on 7-Cal.
7-Cal supports a wide range of advanced AI models, giving users flexibility to choose different models based on reasoning depth, speed, and complexity.
GPT-5.5 Pro
GPT-5.5 Think
GPT-5.5
GPT-5.4 Think
GPT-5.4
GPT-5.3
Gemini 3.1 Pro Think
Claude Fable 5
Claude Opus 4.8 Think
Claude Opus 4.7 Think
Claude Sonnet 4.6 Think
GPT-5.4 Nano (free model for AI monthly plan users)
Or your own custom model via API key (Incompatible with GPT Pro)
Notes:
About the GPT models: GPT Pro is OpenAI’s most powerful model and also the most expensive in terms of credit usage. For most complex tasks, GPT Think already provides more than sufficient reasoning capability.
If you are interested in the exact credit cost for each model, please refer to the official pricing pages for each model provider.
7-Cal uses a credit-based AI access system:
30-Day AI Plan: $20 USD / 30 days, includes 500 credits. Free basic models remain available during the active period.
100 AI Credits: $5 USD one-time purchase, valid for 365 days.
Bring Your Own API: Use your own API key and pay your API provider directly.
Credit usage depends on the selected model and request type. Text and image queries may consume different amounts of credits.

Credit-based models are usually flagship or top-tier models from major AI providers. They are set with maximum available thinking and output capacity where supported, so they consume AI credits when used.
Free models are smaller models available to 30-Day AI Plan users. They do not consume credits, but their performance may be more limited compared with credit-based models.
No.ChatGPT Plus only works in ChatGPT. It does not work on 7-Cal.
ChatGPT and the OpenAI API are two different OpenAI products, and they are billed separately.
If you want to use your own model on 7-Cal, you need your own API key.
This depends on whether your AI provider gives you API access. Please check the provider’s official documentation or contact the provider directly.
To enjoy our advanced models, you will need to purchase credits. If you’re a 30-Day AI Plan user, once your credits run out, you can keep using the free model without interruption!
If your credit balance becomes negative, the AI service will be temporarily disabled.
You must purchase additional credits to clear the negative balance before you can continue using the service.
Only one 30-Day AI Plan can be active within a 30-day period.
If you already have an active 30-Day AI Plan and purchase another one, the new plan will not add credits immediately.
The 500 credits from the newly purchased plan will be automatically issued at the start of the next plan cycle - once your current plan ends. As said, the newly purchased plan will extend the active period of your Plan, which you can see in your backend panel under the credits’ active time.
If you need additional credits during an active plan, please purchase 100 AI credits, which are added instantly to your account.
This usually depends on several factors:
1. The model you are using
Some models are naturally slower than others. For example, a Thinking Model usually takes longer to process than a Non-Thinking Model. And the GPT Pro model is thinking longer than a thinking model.
2. AI provider server load
7-Cal forwards AI requests to the selected AI provider very quickly, usually within about one second. In many cases, longer waiting times are caused by the AI provider’s server load, high request volume, or temporary resource allocation delays. This is more common during peak usage periods and may affect some models more than others.
3. The difficulty of the question
If the problem is complex, long, or requires more reasoning,
Or using the last 5 conversation memories
Or the custom prompt is quite complex or has relatively strict requirements.
The AI will need more time to generate a response; clearing conversation memory and adjusting the custom prompt may help.
4. Your photo quality
If the photo is blurry, unclear, too far away, or poorly lit, the AI may have trouble recognizing the content. This can cause the response to take much longer, or get stuck in thinking. You can check the Backend Panel to see whether the photo you captured is clear.
5. Your network connection
A weak or unstable internet connection can also slow down the response or cause the process to appear stuck. You can check the Backend Panel to see if your message was sent to the AI and if the AI provided a response. If there is a response displayed on the Backend Panel but nothing appears on the calculator, it indicates that the calculator has disconnected from the internet.
What we recommend:
Make sure your photo is clear, steady, and well lit
Try a simpler question first to test
Try a non-thinking model if you want faster replies, or try switching to a model from a different AI provider.
Check whether your network connection is stable
Adjust the prompt, and clear the chat memory
No. The AI response text cannot be displayed in 4 lines, and the text size cannot be reduced.
Due to the limited screen resolution of the device, the current text size is required to ensure: Clear readability, Stable rendering, Support for all supported languages and symbols
If you saw earlier demo versions with more than two lines of text, that was because those systems supported far fewer characters and symbols, which allowed more lines to be shown on the screen.
Yes. Without internet access, it can still be used as a standard calculator and for all offline functions.
